Final act of self expression by Illamasqua

Makeup brand Illamasqua has taken the art of make up to the next level. They have teamed up with a funeral house (in UK) to provide a service of making the depart look their best on their final journey.
As much as I want to applaud this company for doing this, I also feel that they are using a very provocative marketing strategy!

I don't know about you guys, but death is a very touchy subject for me. I avoid attending funerals because I just can't seem to get the image of a dead person out of my mind for weeks. It scares me.

It also makes me too emotional to see people around me sad. I think this is because of my Asian background. In Singapore, when someone passes on, everyone turn so sad and sombre. Women (older generation) start to wield and mourn loudly. I still remember how it was when my grandfather passed away when I was 11 years old. That incident really scared me. Even as an adult, I am afraid of funerals.

However, when the time comes, I want to look my best. If Illamasqua is still in business then, I will be a customer for sure... Wait, how would I know this if I'm already dead!?...

Final act of self expression......It's more like the last time anyone will see me in makeup!

Hope you all are having a pleasant week!

Another look using bold colors. I know many are afraid to use eyeshadows that are in the red color range as it can look bad if applied carelessly. Here is a tutorial showing you how to combine other colors to make the red complimentary. It may not be everyones cup of tea, however it is something to try when you feel a little adventurous.. Site's new look! What do you think?

Hi Everyone,

I hope you are having a fantastic weekend. It's been great here in Sweden as it's sunny and cool. It's the perfect time to make lemonades and mango lassi (mango yogurt smoothie).

As you can see, I have redesigned my website. It really needed a fresh new look. Made it much more simple and easy to navigate. Don't want to confuse my lovely readers.

Let me know your thoughts about the new banner and colour scheme. Do you like it? Is it easy for the eyes?

Your feedback is greatly welcomed and appreciated.

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Sexy summer look

Finally got a tutorial done. I really like this look because it involves 'happy colours'. Many of the neutral eyeshadows are mainly from Urban Decay Naked palette. There are many similar colours found in the 88 neutral palette so I think there is no need to buy this palette. Fortunately, I was given this palette by my Youtube friend Snig aka IndianBeautie.

I hope you will give this look a try. Great for night out salsa dancing!

Hi Everyone,

I know it's been a while since I posted anything herebl. To be honest, I was so busy and when I had the time, blogging was the last thing on my mind (sadly). Also, I am revamping my site and Youtube channel. As you know, things like these can take up much of ones time. Soon, you will see a new layout. It's been a year since I last changed the layout anyways....

I have been productive today. I made a video sharing my experience shopping  for fabric and notions in Singapore. If you guys didn't know, I was in Singapore for 3 weeks. I am a very happy camper now with my loot.

What have you guys been up to these days?

Hope you enjoy the video.
