Yes, I know! Been under the radar for a while. Life has been very good and busy for me! Now that I have more time, thought of doing a makeup tutorial since I have been always asked to do one!
This look is perfect for the festive season! One cannot go wrong with this one, as I have made it as simple and easy to follow using few products. If you do not have the same product as what I have used in this video, just use whatever you have at hand.
My camera does not do justice to the sparkly pigment I have used here! So watch the video to see this beautiful pigment from Makeupgeek.com.

Thank you for coming by. I have yet another useful video tutorial on my Youtube channel showing you how I contour and highlight my face. This method is very easy and I do it all the time. I do understand that finding a right contour shade can be tricky. So I have included other recommendations of products for both highlighting and contouring.
In this picture, you can clearly see how my face has transformed from bare faced to pretty faced (trying to be modest LOL!). Makeup does help with enhancing features. Two key things to remember: To accentuate certain features of your face use a highlighting product. To define some parts of your face, use contouring products.
In the bottom picture, even though I have my foundation and eye makeup on, my face does look flat. After contouring and highlighting, there is some definition and dimension to the face.
The products used in the tutorial are:-
Contour - Nyx matte bronzer in Medium
Highlight - Whisper of gilt extra dimension skin finish MAC
NOTE: I do understand that the Whisper of gilt extra dimension skin finish from MAC was limited edition. You can surely use a eyeshadow or shimmery product that is similar to that.
Here are some other recommendations for contour and highlight products:-
Contour
e.l.f Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Turks & Caicos (Link Here)
Kiko Make Up eyeshadow in 208 Light Gold (Link Here) - MYPERFECTRED blogger recommended this.
There are so many wonderful products out in the market that will work for us dark skinned women. It's a matter of finding the time to research and trying them out. If anyone has other product recommendations, please feel free to mention them in the comment section. I am sure it will help fellow readers/bloggers.
Hope you find this blog post and tutorial useful. See you later.
Here is a makeup look featuring the Urban Decay Electric Palette. OMG, what can I say, this is the palette of my dreams. Vibrant and vivid colours in one palette. I will do a detailed review in a later post. For now, please enjoy my video tutorial and pictures.

Another tutorial for your viewing pleasure. This look comprises of eggplant purple, black, greyish white for the eyes and fuchsia pink for the lips. I am using the Starlooks 15 colour Mardi gras palette (click here). I like this palette because of the various colour combinations I can come up with, with just 15 colours. You can go from neutral to colourful looks with just one palette. You definitely need to use a base as some of the colours apply sheer if worn alone on bare skin.
So I hope you like this video as much as I enjoyed making it. I am getting back into routine now. So more videos coming soon.
Guess who decided to join me for some photo taking!

Here is a quick video showing you my favourite and frequently used lipsticks/lipcolors. All of these lip products are brown skin friendly. I hope you find this video/post useful.
I want to show you guys my new hair colour. I had a hair makeover! As much as I love my naturals curls, they can be quite troublesome to tame and they can get quite frizzy in humid environments. Since I have moved from Sweden to Hong Kong, my hair has been through quite a change. So I have taken the route of chemically straightening my hair (also known as re-bond or straight perm).
This time around not only did I straightened my roots, I also coloured my hair. Played it safe this time! Mild highlights with medium chocolate brown base colour. Let me know what you think. My hair looks even and no more old streaky, brassy highlights! I love it!
