Sewing project: Simplicity 2939

This is a top I made many month ago last year. Totally forgot that I even made this. It turned out quite good actually. I used a printed cotton fabric. It was very easy to work with. The instructions of the pattern were so easy to follow. Since I live in a sunny island like Singapore, this top was comfort. Easy breezy, great for the summers for those who experience the different seasons.

I had a little problem making the pleat but now I know how to keep them in place. I will use scotch tape. That way it will not move. The invisible zipper was a bit tricky too but I think it was my faulty zipper attachment. I have finally bought another one.

Here are some pictures.

  1. Ah! That's so awesome! The Vogue patterns were on sale at Joan's for $4 last week and I got some... Hopefully I'll have time to make something. But that is a really pretty shirt. Good job!

  2. That top is absolutely adorable! Keep up the great work!
